The
Rehearsal Dinner
|
The rehearsal dinner is a great
way to begin your wedding festivities, and a great
opportunity for families and close friends to get
acquainted. The dinner is traditionally hosted by
the groom's parents. Guests should include the
immediate family of the bride and groom, your clergy
person and his or her spouse or guest, and your
complete wedding party and their spouses or guests. |
If you have special guests from
out of town who have already arrived, you may want
to include them in the party. The Best Western Grand
Seasons Hotel is eager to assist you in all aspects
of your planning. Here are some suggestions and
guidelines to consider when you plan your rehearsal
dinner.
|
-
Since this may be the first time many of
your guests will meet, place cards are helpful.
-
Plan your seating so that your guests
will enjoy those seated near them.
-
The bridal couple and their immediate
family generally sit together at the front or focal
table, or at a reserved table.
-
The wedding party may be seated near the
bridal couple and their families, or seated among other
family members and special guests.
-
The groom's father traditionally makes
his formal toast to the couple prior to dinner being
served.
-
Rehearsal dinners are an excellent time
to present the attendants with their gifts, especially
if the gifts are to be worn the next day.
Remember, the rehearsal dinner is just the
beginning of a very joyous event.
Relax, enjoy the company of family and friends, and let
Best Western Grand Seasons Hotel make the evening memorable.
